This experience shaped her passion for patient advocacy and empowerment. Dr. Tartt earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and later her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duquesne University School of Nursing. As the founder and lead provider at Holistic Direct Primary Care, she specializes in family medicine, blending conventional, holistic, functional, and alternative approaches to care. She delivers in-home and virtual visits, focusing on preventive care, patient education, and nonjudgmental relationships that address her patients' physical, mental, spiritual, and social wellbeing.
DPC stands for direct primary care. It is a healthcare model in which patients pay a practice directly, often through a monthly membership, rather than billing insurance for routine primary care. At Holistic Direct Primary Care, patients are self-pay. Memberships have no enrollment or registration fees, and the practice does not accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.
