IV Therapy
Clinician-guided IV therapy is considered in the context of your health history, symptoms, hydration needs, and overall wellness plan rather than as a quick-fix weight-loss treatment.
IV therapy may support hydration and nutrient needs, but it is not a stand-alone solution for weight loss. Holistic Direct Primary Care helps adults explore IV therapy within a thoughtful, whole-person plan that considers medical history, nutrition, activity, metabolic health, and realistic goals. Learn what evidence supports, what results to expect, and when personalized clinical guidance is appropriate.

Supportive, personalized services that connect IV therapy with broader wellness, preventive care, and weight-management goals.
Clinician-guided IV therapy is considered in the context of your health history, symptoms, hydration needs, and overall wellness plan rather than as a quick-fix weight-loss treatment.
Personalized weight-management support addresses sustainable habits, medical factors, nutrition, movement, and achievable goals while helping determine whether adjunctive therapies may be appropriate.
Functional medicine-informed care explores contributing lifestyle and health factors, helping create a coordinated plan that supports energy, nourishment, prevention, and long-term wellbeing.
An IV drip can restore fluids and deliver selected nutrients when clinically appropriate, which may help you feel better if dehydration or a deficiency is affecting energy and wellbeing. It does not directly burn fat or replace nutrition, activity, sleep, or medical weight management. Holistic Direct Primary Care reviews your goals and health history to determine whether IV therapy belongs in a safe, personalized plan.

Dr. Tartt earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and later her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duquesne University School of Nursing. As the founder and lead provider at Holistic Direct Primary Care, she specializes in family medicine, blending conventional, holistic, functional, and alternative approaches to care. IV drips do not directly cause fat loss. They may help correct dehydration or deliver nutrients when a clinician determines they are appropriate, and that can support energy or wellbeing for some people. Sustainable weight loss generally comes from a personalized plan that addresses nutrition, activity, sleep, medical conditions, medications, and realistic behavior changes. An evaluation helps determine whether IV therapy has a supportive role.
